It may not be on your radar, but there is a good chance your body is harboring the fastest growing dis-ease precursor that has been known to man and you're not even aware of it. Chronic inflammation is the cause of many health challenges from Heart Disease to Diabetes, Cancer and more. It is also a key in the aging process and who isn't aging every year? We all are getting older – but just maybe it's inflammation that is really the root cause of deterioration of our health and vitality. Once you get chronic inflammation under control, you may reduce your risk of disease and begin to slow the aging process.
So what is inflammation and why does it happen? Inflammation is a swelling in the body and it happens naturally when you have an injury. Certain foods create inflammation in our bodies too. Common Diseases That Are Triggered By Chronic Inflammation: Cancer Alzheimer's Heart Disease Stroke Arthritis Congestive Heart Failure Lupus Kidney Failure Aortic Valve Stenosis Asthma Psoriasis Pancreatitis Allergies Anemia Fibromyalgia This list is just a few of the most prominent conditions that people are familiar with, including surgical complications, which results in greater difficulty when healing. How Does This Happen? It starts as a natural response to a stimulus. It could be an injury, illness, your food (especially GMO's) or your lifestyle. Inflammation will progress in one of two ways. If the body receives the nutrients it needs to repair and return to good health, then the inflammation is only temporary and a natural process to healing. If the stimulus creating the inflammation is repeated every day and becomes a habitual way of life, then inflammation can ultimately lead to pain, infection, a weaker immune system or all of the above causing more susceptibility to bacteria, viruses, or parasites creating more inflammation. It becomes a vicious cycle which will eventually break down organ functions, leading to the common diseases mentioned above. Every person's body reacts differently to prolonged inflammation based on many circumstances. Blood Sugar normally rises every time we eat, but when we consume foods that are high in carbohydrates, our blood sugar spikes at higher rates and the body has to work harder to compensate for it. Constant abuse of your body could ultimately lead to diabetes, or weaken the arteries or heart which could lead to heart disease. Same with arthritis or Alzheimer's. Don't forget, your DNA markers play an important factor too. 2. Acidity promotes inflammation and is caused when our pH balance strays too far from the normal range for too long. You can test your own acidity levels of saliva and urine easily, which should range between 6.0 and 7.0. Below 6.4 is on the dangerous side and your body isn't able to absorb or utilize your vitamins and minerals very well, which are needed for your body to repair itself. Eating more fresh fruits and vegetables is the key while reducing meat, starch, sugar. 3. Oxidation happens when free radicals (molecules looking for an extra electron to attach to) move through the body and damage the cells it comes into contact with. In time, left unprotected, oxidation can lead to cancerous conditions, diabetes, Alzheimer's and other inflammatory diseases. Oxidation can run rampant when we don't eat enough anti-oxidant rich foods like blueberries, tomatoes or leafy greens, Adding these types of foods to our diet can go a long way in balancing the damaging effects of oxidation to cells and tissues. If you want an army to fight for you, it's necessary to supply them with the ammunition and protection needed. Now, You Can Out-Smart Your Genetic DNA to Reduce Inflammation Through your genetics and family history, you may be predisposed to certain conditions. Knowing that in advance gives you the information you need to change the outcome for you. Genes respond to what we give them. If you continually have a diet that is high in processed sugar, simple carbohydrates or contains an excess of foods that are highly acidic, be aware that you are setting yourself up for an inflammatory response. The choice is yours. If you take note of your family history of Diabetes, Cancer, or Heart Disease, you can modify your behavior. Consume less sugar, get adequate fiber, take plenty of anti-oxidants, eliminate GMO foods and drink pure water. When you avoid foods that produce inflammation, you will be better able to keep your genes in check and create greater longevity. This is a good place to address blood type. Some people do well with more complex carbohydrates (not in the form of starches, but vegetables,) and less animal protein, while others need the protein and can't process starches in their diet. Certain foods will create more inflammation for people so looking at the blood type can signal those inflammatory foods for you. I believe this is key to the differences in genetics. Salt, Milk, White Sugar, White Rice, and White Flour
Through the years, wellness providers have discovered that a steady diet of certain foods and bad food combinations will insure an unhealthy body. After long-term use, they will almost always create physical problems. Add GMO foods into the mix and it makes it even worse. People that eat these foods on a regular basis almost never live as long as they should. If they practice the laws of proper nutrition and live in harmony with the Earth, far less disease and greater longevity would prevail. Here's what is wrong with each one of the Five Toxic White Foods. SALT: Salt is not needed in the diet unless a medical test shows that you need it. Salt produces an acute condition in the blood. It can make the lymph system sluggish and create hardening of the arteries. It also heats up the body which causes too much strain on the heart and intestines. Too much salt can cause an early death. Salt and potassium need to be in balance for the body to function optimally. People that crave salty foods, are likely to have overworked, exhausted adrenal glands that need additional nutritional support, not just salt. SOLUTION: A variety of foods contain natural amounts of sodium. Dairy products, meats, shellfish and eggs contain the highest amounts of natural sodium. Then comes green vegetables , especially celery and artichokes. Use tamari sauce or vegetables with a natural sodium content. Learn to use other spices and seasonings to your food to enhance flavors, or use Pink Himilayan Salt or Celtic Sea Salt which is loaded with minerals. MILK: People think milk is almost a perfect food. This is not true. Milk (and most dairy in general) is the most mucus forming food of all our dietary choices. It is the main cause of colds, bronchial troubles, flu, hay fever, asthma, sinus problems, pneumonia, and tuberculosis according to research. Milk contains 300% more casein than mother's milk because a baby calf is supposed to double it's weight in 6 to 8 weeks. A human child needs 6 to 7 months to double it's birth weight. A cow weighs 1000 to 2000 lbs. Whereas at maturity we don't need that kind of food when we weigh about one tenth of a cow. Casein also makes the best glue we know of. Wood and cabinet makers use it. Try mixing milk with white flour and spread it between two pieces of cardboard. It makes a perfect bonding. Just ask Elmer's Glue what they use to make their glue. This also gunks up the intestines and blood. Cows milk also contains 50% more phosphorus than is in mother's milk. This puts the sulphur and phosphorus ratio out of balance when a human ingests too much cow's milk. This causes the body to become acidic and stifles it's ability to rid itself of the excess mucus that milk causes. The statement that pasteurization of milk makes it a safeguard is a lie. Pasteurization increases shelf life by preventing milk from souring so quickly. Furthermore, pasteurization does not kill typhoid germs, bacilli coli, germs of undulant fever, or tuberculosis. Sugar affects the parasympathetic nervous system and organs which it governs like the heart, liver, kidneys and pancreas. Keep your intake of sugar and all refined carbohydrates as low as possible. Another good reason to choose a whole grain rice. SOLUTION Eat whole grain rice instead. There are various types of natural rice grains available in your stores today. They are the real rices. Or, try barley instead. It is similar to rice when cooked, only a larger grain and helps to decrease mucus in the body. Know that the sources of the grains you purchase are reliable. WHITE FLOUR: White flour is lifeless. It is totally void of any nutritional value and it is also very mucus forming. Over many years of consuming refined white flour products, it will clog up the intestines and arteries leaving the rest of the body starving for nutrition. White flour is not capable of proper assimilation by your body's live cells because it lacks enzymes, which is greatly lacking in most of our diets today. Too much emphasis is put on white flour goods like cake, cookies, doughnuts, pizza ( with cheese, milk and white flour). These processed carbohydrates are the leading cause of obesity. Plus, farmers now spray their crops with Glyphosate (a toxic weed killer) from Monsanto, on their wheat crops before to planting and again just before harvesting. Just think, a dose of poison is in every bite you take of processed wheat products. If using whole grain, make sure it is organic to get the health benefits. SOLUTION: Reduce your use of grains to only organic, whole wheat products. Or use other whole grains like oats, barley, buckwheat, and brown rice for your starches instead of white flour. This also includes pastas make with white flour. Your health depends on it. Don't let your body down. By eliminating (or at least reducing) all of these Five Toxic White Foods from your diet, it is almost guaranteed to bring you better health. You can say good-bye to sinus problems, colds, flu and the physical problems already discussed. A side benefit is that most people also loose weight by eliminating these foods, which also causes inflammation. Try it for a few weeks and experience the difference for yourself. You will usually see a drastic improvement in the way your body feels, plus your mood and better energy. If the thought of giving up all of these foods at once is overwhelming, start by eliminating one of the Five each week and adjust your habits slowly. Some people begin to feel worse when making better choices because the body can sometimes go into a healing crisis (flu-like symptoms), if it starts dumping toxins too quickly. Slow it down or just forge through it, knowing that your body is cleansing the toxins. Do what feels best for your body. As you eliminate these Five Toxic White Foods, you will also loose water weight which your body has been holding on to in order to dilute the toxic substances stored in your body. Traditional drugs or surgery are not always successful. In the 1970s, it was discovered that rather than causing the eyes to dilate, the use of marijuana caused a significant reduction in IOP (intraocular pressure). Follow-up studies confirmed the benefits of using marijuana to help control glaucoma. Whether the marijuana was smoked or taken intravenously, the effect showed a consistent reduction in IOP of about 20% to 40%, for a period of up to four hours.
